Gabriel Coeli

Biography

Gabriel Coeli was born on December 9 th , 1982 in Newport Beach , CA to Bernadette and Tyrone, two of the greatest cooks to ever walk the planet. He was capable of cooking only macaroni and cheese and toast (though just barely) until early 2006, when he joined the United States Marine Corps as a Food Service Marine and learned the basics of cookery. Deciding to pursue food preparation to its logical end, he began plumbing the depths of research and self-education and eventually (somehow) landed a job serving up many delicious lunch dishes at 1220 Main Restaurant in Vancouver, WA under the indefatigable Chef Stephen Block, the proprietor of kitchenproject.com and Joe Panciera, his supremely talented sous chef.

Gabriel Coeli is the author of two novels, Devine Road , Vol. I: A Comedy of Sex, Politics and Other Impolite Topics of Conversation and Devine Road, Vol II: A Comedy of Death, Destruction and Ultimate Triumph. He has been writing all his life and is a better writer than a cook, though with chefs such as he has over him, it is only a matter of time before that inequity must and will be corrected.
