Blaue Zipfel

Ingredients:
Serves 4
1 quart (liter) water
1/2 liter white wine
1/2 liter vinegar
5 medium onions, cut in rings
1 cup sliced carrots (about 2 medium )
10 juniper berries
2 bay leaves
1/2 teaspoon peppercorn
2 tablespoons sugar
1 pinch salt
20 Nuernberger Bratwursts or link Sausages (small breakfast sausage links are pretty similar)

1.Put everything in a big pot other than the sausages and bring to a boil.


2.When boiling, add sausage and reduce to a simmer. Cook for about 30 minutes.


3.Serve in a bowl with fresh soft pretzels or good baguette.
