Angel Wings

This came from Aunt Cecelia Kupser Meyer, from her mother
Grandma Kupser

Ingredients:

2 egg yolks
5 tble pet milk (evaporated milk)

1 Cup all purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla

Mix very well and then slowly add in 1 cup sifted flour and knead like for noodles.

Cut in half and knead some more each half.  

Put under a bowl and let rest about 1/2 hour.

Roll out thin and cut into 4" x 2" strips.

Cut a slit in the middle and make a bow by pulling one end through the other.

Fry in hot oil. Makes about 2 dozen.

Background;

Grandma Kupser (Margareta Gefroh) and Grandpa (Phillip Kupser) had 13 children in Karlsruhe , N.Dakota. Grandpa got killed in 1937 by a train.  At that time their youngest was only two yrs.  She raised those children all to adulthood and worked her land. She was an excellent cook and hard worker. She also for a couple of years raised some of her grandchildren.  What a women.
