Black Forest Cherry Parfait

Beef Schaschlik
This is a simple dessert to put together when you have some left over chocolate cake. A little Kirschwasser , cherries, whipped cream and in this case chocolate pudding I also had left over.

I started with some left over chocolate cake. and moistened it with some Kirschwasser.
You could use cherry brandy as well.

Put a quarter cup of cake in the bottom of the glass Add half of the chocolate pudding add 4 - 5 cherries
add 1 /3 of the whipped cream Repeat all the steps, then top with Whipped cream and a cherry, and drizzle some of the cherry syrup if there is some that came with the cherries. Add the shaved chocolate on top.

Shaved Chocolate Topping

You can use a knife or potato peeler to shave nice chocolate curls or flakes.

Another option is to grate some chocolate for the topping

Morello Cherries

These are awesome cherries that come straight from the Black Forest.
They are such a treat. You can find them often at Trader Joes.

Kathi Brand Black Forest Cake Mix

I love the Kathi Brand mixes. I love baking from scratch but don't always have time.

I fully endorse the Kathi mixes.

Kathi
Bee Sting Cake Mix

This is one of the Kathi Mixes that I highly endorse. The problem with Americans is we have never encountered a real Bienenstich Kuchen .
This shows how the texture should be.
