Apfel Tassen Kuchen
about 3-4 apples halved and quartered
1 / 2 cup bread crumbs
If you don't have bread crumbs
1, I precook the apples first with a bit of cinnamon on top. Slice them into small slices that will fit in the muffin cup.
2. Spray the muffin cups and add about 1/4 cup of batter to reach only 2/3 up the cup. You need that extra space for the kuchen to rise and get a nice rounded shape. It will have trouble doing this if you fill it all the way.
3. Place the slices nicely staggered on top of the dough. This is suppose to look like a small version of this dessert.
4. I also like to put a little streusel topping on it and coarse sugar to give it a nice finish.
