Steamed Spargels (asparagus)
with Herb Sauce, Prawns and Potatoes
1 bunch of thick green asparagus
2 medium white Potatoes
1/ 2 lb prawns
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons milk
1 /2 cup chopped fresh herbs
such as, parsley, dill, basi, tarragon. marjoram, chives
For Pan Roasting
Then I break the last 1 to 2 inches off the bottom of the stalk.
Some folks hold the asparagus with both hands and snap, and the
bottom stringy end will break in the right place. Sometimes it is too much though.
Put the Asparagus in a Steamer or blanch in a small amount of water.
Steam for about 15 minutes. till tender but still holds it's shape.
I made a sauce with sour cream, that I thinned out with a little milk or water works also, and then lots of chopped herbs, your choice.
