BRATWURSTS & SAUERKRAUT SKILLET SUPPER:

Taste the unique flavor that apple juice gives to bratwursts and sauerkraut in this skillet supper.

6 bratwurst sausages

1 cup apple juice

2 cups sauerkraut, drained

2 med. Green peppers, sliced into ¼ inch rings

2 tsp. caraway seed

In 10 inch skillet place bratwursts.  Cook over med. High heat, turning occasionally, until browned  about 5 minutes.  Reduce heat to med.; add apple juice.  Cover; cook until fork tender about 10 to 12 minutes.  Stir in remaining ingredients.  Continue cooking, uncovered, until heated through 4 to 5 minutes.

MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS:  In 13 x 9 inch baking dish place bratwursts and apple juice.  Cover; microwave on HIGH, turning bratwursts after half the time, until almost done about 5 to 8 minutes.  Add remaining ingredients.  Cover; microwave on HIGH until heated through and bratwursts are no longer pink about 5 to 8 min.  4 servings.
