3 cups flour
1 tsp. salt.
1/2 lb. lard

Blend these with a pastry knife ( this is a "D" shaped utensil with about four blades). When you have blended this mixture into course crumbs, add

1 egg, beaten a bit
6 Tblsp. ice water
1 Tblsp.vinegar

Be sure the egg, water and vinegar are mixed and pour this into the bowl with the flour crumb mixture.

Do not over blend with your pastry knife, but when the dough has nicely come together, stop the kneading and roll out for your pie. You may need to dust a bit of flour as you work, I do.
