This was a recipe from Grandma Kupser (Margareta Gefroh) and Grandpa (Phillip Kupser) had 13 children in Karlsruhe, N.Dakota. Grandpa got killed in 1937 by a train. At that time their youngest was only two yrs. She raised those children all to adulthood and worked her land. She was an excellent cook and hard worker. She also for a couple of years raised some of her grandchildren. What a women.
