Heiss Kartoffelsalat
From my German cooking classes in Home economics in Germany.
2 lb boiled Potatoes, peel after cooking them.
about a 1/2 cup of salad dressing, not Mayonnaise, it is too thick.
1/4 liter or about 1/2 cup of cold water,
40 grams, maybe 3 heaping tbs. of Cornstarch, stirred well while cooked so it will be thick but not lumpy.
1 boiled Egg, chopped into small peaces.
Mustard to tast.
Salt to tast.
some evaporated milk (like Pet or cream will work also)
1 tsp. Sugar.
2 tbs Oil, preferably light Olive Oil however that's up to you and your taste.
1 tbs. Vinegar.
1/8 tsp. Paprika.
luke warm water to get the consistency you like, may have to adjust the water so start out with less at first.
Stir all of the above ingredients together and your done.

Verlaengerty Majonaise
1.4 l Wasser
40 g Starkemehl, kochen.
1 Ei
Senf
Dosenmilch
Zucker 1.8 l Oel
1 Essl. Essig,
Paprika,
lauwarmes Wasser.
Alles zusammen ruehren und fertig ist er.
