Pumpernickel Canape with Lox
Pumpernickel-Canape mit Seelachs

a nice German Appetizer

Ingredients:

1 loaf cocktail pumpernickel
1 4 oz package of lox or Seelachs
1 4 oz. carton Quark or Cream cheese
Thin slices of purple onion
Capers
Ffresh dill weed sprigs

Directions:

1. Spread a bit of quark or cream cheese on the cocktail pumpernickel.



2. Roll a slice of lox and place it on top of the cheese

3. Put a few slices of purple onion on the lox,

4. Sprinkle with 4 or 5 capers and a dill weed sprig.

5. Place in a decorative arrangement on a platter.
