Philly Cheese Steak History | Recipes

Ingredients:

2 sandwiches

3/4 lb. Tri Tip
1 medium yellow onion sliced in rings.
4 oz. of 2 % pepper jack cheese.
2 whole wheat hoagie buns
2- 12 by 12 inch heavy duty aluminum foil sheets
a little olive oil for frying.
Banana peppers, for garnish (optional)

Fry the onions. I did rings instead of chopping here to look pretty.
Chopping are easier to eat.

Carmelize the onions. A little dark beer tastes best. Reserve to plate.

Fry the thin sliced steak in a non stick fry pan with just a bit of olive oil to keep
from sticking.

Reserve the steak to a plate.

Place a whole wheat hoagie bun on a piece of heavy duty foil.
We put some lo cal mayo on it.

Place the onions and cheese on top of the meat, and wrap up.

Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
