
Weigh or measure out the flour

Weigh or measure out the sugar if it is off a couple grams it is no big deal.

Weigh or measure out the baking powder.

Weigh or measure out the salt
Mix the dry ingredients all together with the lemon zest.

weigh or measure the milk. Here I used yogurt.

Add the egg

Add the melted butter or oil and mix.

Add the wet ingredients and mix just enough to bring it all together.

Bring it all together in a ball. You can either put this to bed in the fridge overnight or go ahead and form it into your kuchen crust.

Here is the dough pressed into the 9 x 13 pan.

I like to pre-bake the crust for 10 minutes to brown it before adding the fruit and cream.
But this is a personal choice.
